Spend a day in Beautfort South Carolina

If you are looking for a charming, small town, with plenty of southern flair, Beautfort, South Carolina is for you! I'm going to take you on a whole day's worth of shopping, eating, and exploring!

Let's head to Bay Street for lunch and a little shopping.

Best places for a Bite to Eat

Q on Bay - Of course a BBQ place has to be the first on this list! Come hungry-leave full. If you are looking for some good ol southern BBQ, this is your spot.

Panini's on the Waterfront- This is one of our favorite stops mostly because of the outdoor seating overlooking Waterfront Park, They have great Italian food from stone-baked pizza, panini sandwiches, hoagies, salads, pastas and seafood! A little something for everyone when you have a hard to please group!

Breakwater Restaurant & Bar - If you are looking for something a little more special check this place out. New southern cuisine, a fun atmosphere and great wine list!

Let's Go Shopping

Scout Southern Market- This is a must stop and my favorite store on Bay Street. "Scout embodies the southern lifestyle and aesthetic, offering fabulously eclectic pieces for home - from dill pickles, to chandeliers made from vintage tea spoons. The mix is ever changing and always interesting." I love everything they have in this store, There hasn't been one time that I've been in there and didn't want to buy the whole store! Also, the showstopper here the Sweet Tea Bar. Yes, you read that right, a heavenly sweet tea bar with the most amazing sweet tea float. That is a must! If you only have time for one stop in Beautfort, this is it.

Cook on Bay- The cutest kitchen store with fun, gadgets, serveware, locally-sourced Lowcounty foods and seasonings, barware, baking tools etc!

The Chocolate Tree- Need I say more? Fresh, hand made chocolate! Their fudge is my favorite. A must stop for sure! My favorite during winter months is getting some goodies and going to Waterfront Park on the swings, watch the boats and eat all the chocolate! Trying this in the summer is a different story, unless you like chocolate soup.

Lulu Burgess- A cute giftshop with something for everyone.

The Rustic Pup- Don't leave, without getting your fur pal a cute treat from here!

Beautfort Belle Co. - A southern apparel boutique with a fun selection of bright clothing and accessories.

Let's Get Exploring!

Waterfront Park- This beautiful scenic public park which serves as both a local marina and a perfect spot to relax by the water. My favorite is all the swings they have looking out at the water. If you hit up any of those shops or restaurants above you will be right by this park.

Cypress Wetlands- Want to see some gators? You'll see them here! A 0.6 mile loop, you'll see all sorts of wildlife.

Hunting Island- My favorite spot. Driving into the park is the best part! It's filled with tall palm trees and makes you feel like you're in Jurassic Park! There are tons of things to do here, from the beach, camping, walking trails, fishing piers, boating, and even a lighthouse to climb!

Finish the day with watching the beginning on the sunset at Hunting Island Marsh boardwalk and finish it back on Bay Street at Waterfront park.

Beautfort is such a magical place, with so much charm and beauty everywhere you look. If you are looking for a day trip, you won't be disappointed with this place!
