Southern Pecan Pie Bars



These may be one of my favorite treats to make around this time of year. You have to try them warm and if you really want to go all out, a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!


Ingredients


2 cups of flou

dash of salt

1/3 cup of brown sugar

3/4 cup of refrigerated butter


Filling


1/2 cup of butter, melted and cooled

1 cup of brown sugar

1/2 of white sugar

1 tablespoon of flour

2 cups of pecans

1 tablespoon of milk

2 eggs




Instructions


1. Preheat oven to 350


2. Put flour, brown sugar, salt and butter (but in chunks) in food processor- pulse until mixture looks like crumbs


3. Press mixture in bottom of a 9x13 pan. I like to line mine with parchment paper to make it easier to take out and bake for 15 mins.


4. While this is in the oven melt the butter and set aside to cool.


5.While that's cooling mix the sugars and flour together then chop pecans for put in food processor


6. Add butter into the mixture then the eggs and milk.


7. Add the pecans then pour filling onto the hot cookie base.


8. Bake for 15-20 mins or until evenly brown. Cool completely before cutting.
