Mississippi Mud Cake



"The Mississippi Delta is home to the richest soil in the nation along the banks of its namesake river. However, since this area tends to flood when the river waters overflow the levees, the region has also become associated with muddy attributes." Hence where this cake got its name!



Ingredients

Chocolate cake mix (or ingredients to make your own) 9x13 pan

1 Bag of mini marshmallows


Frosting

1/3 Cup of butter

1/3 Cup of milk

1/3 Cup of coco powder

1 tsp vanilla

3 Cups of powdered sugar




Instructions


1- Bake cake according to directions. When done sprinkle marshmallows over cake and return to oven at 350 degrees for 2-3 minutes until marshmallows puff up.


Frosting

`1- Melt butter on stove. Whisk in milk and coco powder. Cook for 2-3 minutes until it starts to thicken. Remove from heat and and stir in vanilla and powdered sugar.


2- Drizzle over cake then refrigerate for 30 minutes then store at rom temperature.
